Welcome to The Board. By accessing or using this directory, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who can list

You may create a contractor listing only if you operate a licensed and insured trade business in the United States. By submitting a listing, you confirm that the information you provide — including license number, phone, email, and zip — is accurate and that you have the authority to list the business.

Free listings

Contractor listings on The Board are free. We do not charge per lead, per click, or for placement. There is no pay-to-rank mechanism.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (business name, bio, logo, etc.) but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute it as part of the directory and related marketing.

Prohibited conduct

• Submitting false license numbers, impersonating another business, or using a name you don't have rights to.
• Listing a business that is not licensed or insured in its jurisdiction.
• Posting illegal, harassing, or fraudulent content.
• Using automated tools to scrape or overwhelm the directory.
• Soliciting users for purposes unrelated to the trade being listed.

Homeowners and job posters

Job postings are made by third parties. The Board does not verify the accuracy of job descriptions or the identity of the person posting. Contractors should exercise their own diligence before accepting work.

No professional relationship

The Board is a directory. We are not a party to any contract, transaction, or work performed between contractors and homeowners who find each other through the site. We make no warranty regarding the quality, legality, or outcome of any work.

Termination

We may remove any listing or suspend access at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms or at the request of licensing authorities.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Board is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the directory. See our Disclaimer for more on verification limits.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
